Grilled Turmeric Shrimp Skewers

Fire up the grill and cook up a delicious meal with these turmeric spiced shrimp! Turmeric gives the shrimp a gorgeous golden colour and offers a number of health benefits (hooray for anti-inflammatory food that tastes great!) This recipe is super simple and uses only a handful of ingredients. Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to add some heat or leave the recipe as is if spice is not your thing! Happy grilling!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Mix coconut milk and turmeric in a large bowl. Add shrimp and let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  • After they have marinated, place them on skewers and salt and pepper on both sides. Place on hot grill and grill on both sides for 2-3 minutes, until shrimp are cooked through.
