Substitutions:
-if you don't have pine nuts, use walnuts instead or sunflower seeds if you are nut free
-you can omit nuts altogether for dietary restrictions
-to make this pesto vegan, omit the Parmesan cheese or replace it with nutritional yeast
To Freeze Pesto:
Make the pesto as directed in the recipe below and then scoop it into an ice cube tray. Freeze and then transfer the frozen pesto cubes into a freezer safe bag.
