Turkey Gravy from Drippings

This turkey gravy recipe uses pan drippings to make a flavourful gravy. If there are not enough drippings or none at all, you can easily substitute chicken or turkey stock instead!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 4 cups pan drippings run through a sieve (or chicken or turkey stock)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and add flour.
  • Whisk the butter and flour together to create a roux, stirring for a minute or two.
  • Slowly add the pan drippings and continue whisking.
  • Once the gravy thickens, season with salt and pepper to taste.
