This refreshing Pomegranate Margarita made with pomegranate juice, tequila and lime juice is served on the rocks!

Ingredients
  

  • sugar to rim the glass
  • 1 1/2 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila silver
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • simple syrup or agave nectar for sweetening, to taste (optional)*
  • ice
  • pomegranate arils and lime wedges, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Pour sugar on a small plate. Line the rim of a glass with lime juice and then dip it into the sugar. Fill the glass with ice.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker (or jar with a secure lid) with ice and add the pomegranate juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using). Shake and then strain into the glass filled with ice. Garnish with pomegranate arils and lime wedges. Serve.

Notes

  • To make simple syrup, bring equal parts water and sugar to a simmer until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
