Oven Fried Pickles
Oven Fried Pickles are delicious, crunchy breaded pickles that are baked in the oven instead of fried! This easy to make appetizer tastes just like your pub favourite snack but is way healthier!
- 1 jar pickles cut into spears
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 large eggs whisked
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray a nonstick cooking rack with oil.
Mix panko breadcrumbs, onion powder, paprika, dill, salt and pepper in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, place flour. In a third bowl, place whisked eggs.
Dip each pickle spear in the flour first, then the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture. Place breaded pickles on the metal rack.
Bake for about 15 minutes, until golden brown.
