These Chocolate Almond Cookies are gluten-free, healthy, and vegan! They are made with almond flour and sweetened with dates making them sugar-free too!

  • 12 pitted dates
  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon almond slivers


  • Preheat oven to 350F. In a food processor, place dates and 1/3 cup water. Puree to form a paste.
  • Add all the other ingredients except the almond slivers. Pulse until combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to form about 15 balls. Roll them between the palms of your hands to round them and then place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Press down to flatten and place an almond sliver on top to decorate. The cookies will not spread much so they can be placed closely together.
  • Bake for 11 minutes.
