  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 star anise pod

Optional ingredients to serve:

  • sprinkle of cinnamon powder
  • a scoop of Vanilla Greek yogurt or frozen yogurt

Instructions

  • Peel pears and set aside.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the slow cooker. Place the pears on their side.
