These Baked Green Bean Fries make a great healthy alternative to traditional French fries. These panko-coated green beans are baked not fried and so easy to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lb fresh green beans rinsed, ends trimmed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 large eggs whisked
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a shallow dish, mix the flour, paprika, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
  • In a separate shallow dish, whisk the eggs.
  • In a third shallow bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt and Italian seasoning.
  • First dip the green beans in the flour mixture, ensuring they are coated well. Then dip the floured green beans into the egg and finally into the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Spread the breaded green beans onto the baking sheet so that they are not overlapping and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve as is or with your favourite dip!
