Ingredients
3cupspureed tomatoes(about 1 standard jar of tomato passata)
1/3cup honey
1/4cupmolasses
1/3cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1teaspoonmustard powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium.
Cover the saucepan with a lid but leave the lid slightly lifted on one side (I rest the saucepan lid on a wooden spoon to keep it slightly lifted). This will reduce splatter as the sauce simmers but still let steam escape. Simmer the sauce for 15 minutes or until the sauce has reduced to a desired consistency. [Note: If the sauce is simmering too vigorously and splattering, reduce the heat to medium-low.]
Taste and adjust the seasonings to suit your own tastes. Enjoy.
