  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 3/4 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips divided


  • Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9x9 pan with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar and honey and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine, the oats, rice krispies, and hemp seeds. Add the honey mixture and toss to combine. Let cool for a couple of minutes and then stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Firmly press the mixture into the pan. Bake for 15 minutes.* Let cool completely and then refrigerate for 1 1/2 hours before cutting into bars. Keep refrigerated.


  • *if you like a firmer bar, after slicing, return to the oven and bake for 10 more minutes.
