These roasted sugar snap peas make such a wonderful side dish to any meal, but they are so irresistible I start snacking on them before they hit the table! After roasting in the oven, these babies are like nature’s candy! Sweet, delicious and nutritious!
How to make Roasted Sugar Snap Peas
To make this recipe, you will need:
- 1 lb sugar snap peas, stems and strings removed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 450F.
Wash the sugar snap peas and pat them dry. [Tip: Be sure to dry the sugar snap peas well. This will ensure they roast up nicely and crisp up in the oven. Wet vegetables tend to steam and won’t caramelize well.]
Toss the sugar snap peas with the olive oil, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt and pepper to coat them.
Spread out the snap peas in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until they reach the desired tenderness. Serve.
That’s it! Hope you enjoy this simple side!
