Air Fryer Shrimp

Make the best Air Fryer Shrimp in just 10 minutes! Juicy, succulent shrimp that are seasoned to perfection and so quick and easy to do, you’ll wonder why you haven’t made them this way before!

I absolutely adore seafood. Always have and always will prefer it over any other protein option. Of all the delicious seafood options, shrimps are right up there as one of my favourites! We eat a lot of shrimp in our house. Not only is shrimp delicious, but its also versatile and healthy too! Its a total win-win-win situation here!

While I love shrimp any way they come, the bigger they are, the better in my books. That’s why I used large shrimp to make this recipe, though you are free to use whatever you can find. Just be sure to adjust the cook time accordingly.

Okay, let me tell you that this recipe cooks up in just 10 minutes and is super simple to make, flavourful and healthy too. Add about 5 minutes to prep (I mean even less than that actually if you get your shrimp peeled and deveined already which I do). That means you can have this tasty dish on the table in just 15 minutes! How awesome is that!?

How to make Air Fryer Shrimp

To make this recipe, you will need:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped, for serving
  • lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Preheat air fryer to 400F.

In a large bowl, toss the shrimp in olive oil, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, salt and pepper.

Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket and cook at 400F for 10-11 minutes or until they are cooked through, shaking the basket halfway through the cook time. If you are using smaller shrimp, adjust the cook time accordingly.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Fresh or frozen shrimp?

You can honestly use either for this recipe. Almost all of the shrimp we get here is frozen and that is what I used in this recipe. Just be sure to completely thaw your shrimp before you cook them up.

You can also make this recipe with pre-cooked shrimp. If you are doing that, cut the cook time down by half (the shrimp is already cooked, after all and you really just want to warm them up).

What to serve with Air Fryer Shrimp

This recipe works well as is for an appetizer if you like. We typically serve it up for dinner in our home. Options to turn these beauties into a dinner the whole family will love include (but are not limited to):

  • Served with your favourite veggies for a light, low carb meal. Green beans, are a favourite but feel free to serve these up with all of your favourites.
  • Served over rice.
  • On a bed of pasta. Easily one of my favourite ways to use up these shrimp is over pasta! Pesto, cream sauces, and tomato sauce all work great with the flavour of these shrimp.

I hope you enjoy this quick but delicious dish!
