Asian Citrus Soy Salad Dressing

Bring life to your salad greens with this simple Asian Citrus Soy Dressing! It’s tangy, delicious and ready in just 5 minutes!

We love changing up our salads around here so we don’t get tired of them. Changing up the veggies, fruits, and proteins in a salad brings fresh new spins to what might otherwise be a boring salad. But despite the best ingredients, a salad just isn’t a salad without a fantastic dressing to bring it all together.

Salad dressings bring life to lettuce and whatever toppings you’ve added to your bowl. They’re essential and, to me, the unsung hero of any good salad!

It’s summertime and that means we are eating salads even more than usual. That’s saying something because we actually eat salads pretty often around here!

We have not bought a salad dressing in years in our home. You really can’t beat a homemade dressing and when it takes only minutes to make, there is no excuse! Pantry staples shine in these instances and no real special ingredients are needed in most cases. Just the things already lying around in wait in your kitchen, waiting to be turned into something wonderful.

This salad dressing is no exception. It delivers on taste and also on its simplicity. We love asian flavours in our home and if you do too, you likely already have the important ingredients lying around in your home.

Soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and ground ginger are mixed in with orange juice, olive oil, and honey to make this dressing. If you have fresh ginger, you can substitute that in for the ground ginger instead.

So how exactly do you make this asian citrus soy salad dressing? First, you will need to add the following ingredients to a jar with a secure lid:

  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Just place the lid on the jar and shake to combine everything. Pour it over your salad and enjoy! That’s it!
