Classic Bruschetta

Bruschetta is a classic appetizer and it is a classic for a reason! Fresh tomatoes and basil, seasoned to perfection and served on top of crusty bread! So simple and easy but absolutely perfect and sure to satisfy!

Bruschetta is a classic Italian appetizer that uses fresh tomatoes, basil, olive oil and balsamic vinegar to create a bright, delicious app that doesn’t require any difficult technical skills to put together! So simple and so yummy!

We tend to make this app frequently in the summer months when garden tomatoes are at their peak and so full of flavour! Once the garden goes to sleep for the fall and winter months, we tend to forget about it until Christmas season.

There is something about this dish- probably the red and green colours- that makes me want to whip up this app this time of year. It also doesn’t hurt that it is app season and I eat more than my weight in appetizers before the season is done. No shame here though! #sorrynotsorry

At least this is one of the healthier appetizers I am enjoying this time of year and boy, do I take advantage of that!
