Currently obsessing over these edible Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bites! I was looking for a healthier snack and had cookies on the brain! This was my alternative to eating a dozen cookies in one sitting! Just one (or two) of these bites is satisfying and definitely making this girl super happy! Bonus: The cookie dough is made with oat flour and uses no refined sugar!
There has always been something so appealing about eating cookie dough! Cookies taste delicious baked but the dough is just SO GOOD on its own! That said, you should not eat raw dough as the raw flour and uncooked eggs in the batter pose health risks. No thanks, Salmonella! Not today!
These bites are made egg free and with oat flour instead of regular flour, making them safe to consume in raw form! The dough is also made with honey and so they are refined sugar free as well! The recipe is also vegan and gluten-free too. Now that is a snack I can get behind!
My husband and I are in love with these and have made them multiple times. They taste great and are a healthy treat! I find that I am satisfied after 1 or 2 of these little bites. I can’t say that I have the same self-control when baked cookies are in front of me. It’s much better to whip up some of these and save myself from eating all the extra calories and fat in baked cookies. Also, they take just 5 minutes to whip up. Yes, 5 minutes. You read that correctly!
We are huge peanut butter fans in this house so we love these as they are but you could easily swap it for almond butter or a cookie butter if you are nut-free!
Give this recipe a try and let me know what you think!
