Sunshine Smoothie

Sunshine Smoothie is made with peaches, lemon, honey and turmeric. It’s simple, delicious, and gives the nourishment your body needs to start your day!

My husbands favourite start to the day is with a smoothie in hand. Easily. He has been trying to get me into smoothies since the day we met and I have been a reluctant partner, unconvinced that they are the best brekkie.

I have always preferred a savoury breakfast to sweet. And smoothies fall under the sweet category for me. I do love some sweet breakfasts from time to time but rarely are they in the form of a smoothie.

In an effort to find a smoothie that I can actually enjoy with him in the mornings, I set out to try out different combinations. He has enjoyed every single one of them, but very few have made the cut for me. I mean, I will drink them, but meh. They don’t get me excited to drink them and make them again and again.

The smoothie I am sharing with you today, though, is one I actually enjoyed and have happily made again. Its bright and fresh and incorporates flavours I absolutely love. Peaches, honey, and lemon. Yes, yes and yes. And some turmeric too for good measure (and added health benefits).

I haven’t shared many smoothie recipes on here because I didn’t love them. I know I am in a minority here and most people I know love smoothies and would probably enjoy some of the ones that I am deeming ‘duds’, but I stand behind the recipes I put out on my site. If I don’t absolutely love them and want to make them again and again, then I just won’t share them.

So here we are, with one of the very few smoothies that have ever made the cut and been published on this site! I do hope you guys like it as much as I do!

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
