Have your pumpkin pie and drink it too! This healthy pumpkin flavoured smoothie is how I’m starting my morning with a smile today! Quick, easy and definitely healthier than a slice of pie (although I wouldn’t say no to that either…)
I love all things pumpkin so this smoothie is right up my alley. It has all of the flavours of the pumpkin treats I love but I know that I am giving my body a healthy start to the day when I have it. Something I can’t really say about pumpkin pie! It is definitely kinder to my waistline too!
I chose to make this smoothie with honey to sweeten it as I try to limit my intake of refined sugar, but maple syrup is another great option too!
How to make a Pumpkin Pie Smoothie
To make 2 smoothies, you will need:
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 banana
- 1 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1/2 cup instant oatmeal
- 1/3 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
