Oreo Brownies

Oreo cookies and classic brownies come together to create the ultimate, decadent treat- Oreo Brownies! This recipe is sure to be a hit with the whole family!

I’d like to introduce you all to my current obsession- the Oreo brownie! We are in love and that love runs deep, you guys. In all seriousness, if you have not had an Oreo brownie before, you are truly missing out! Brownies are always a treat, and so are Oreo cookies. But together? Oh my goodness! So much yumminess!

Oreo cookies were one of my favourite cookies to snack on as a kid and while I try my best not to indulge in them too often as an adult, who can resist them altogether? They are the perfect little, dunkable cookie! I am so glad I added them to my favourite brownie recipe because it took things to a whole new level of goodness!

If you are currently in possession of a pack of Oreos, you need to make these asap! No, really!

How to make Oreo Brownies

Preheat oven to 350F and line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, add the flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a medium saucepan, add the butter, oil, espresso powder, and cocoa powder. Melt the butter and simultaneously whisk together with the other ingredients over medium heat. Once the butter is melted, add the sugar and stir in. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

In a stand mixer (or mixing bowl with a hand mixer), add the saucepan ingredients. With the mixer running at medium speed, add the eggs one at a time. Slowly add the dry ingredients and stop the mixer as soon as they are incorporated (careful not to overmix).

Pour half of the batter into the lined baking dish. Top it with oreos in a single layer (about 16 oreos). Add the remaining batter on top. Roughly chop the remaining oreos and sprinkle on top of the brownie batter.

Bake for 25-27 minutes* or until the edges are firm and the center is set. I like to pull my brownies out at 25 minutes so they have a slightly fudgy center but if you like your brownies totally firm, keep them in for a few more minutes.

The hardest part comes now – letting the brownies cool before slicing them. It took all my will power to resist digging in within seconds of pulling them out of the oven.

I hope you enjoy this delicious treat!
