Grapefruit Margarita is what I am sharing with you today! It’s so yummy and a fun way to enhance that traditional version! Its simple and easy enough to do too which is important. So get your cocktail shaker ready, its time to make some margaritas!

How to make the perfect Grapefruit Margarita!

This cocktail is so refreshing and summery. Its delicious but, just as importantly, its super simple to make! To make this grapefruit margarita, you will need:

  • sea salt, to rim the glass
  • 1 1/2 ounces grapefruit juice
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila, silver
  • an ounce triple sec
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • simple syrup or agave nectar for sweetening, to taste (optional)
  • ice
  • grapefruit and lime wedges, for garnish (optional)

To start, I pour salt on a small plate. Then I line the rim of a glass with lime juice and then dip it into the salt. After that, I fill the glass with ice.

Once the glass is prepped, I fill a cocktail shaker (or jar with a secure lid) with ice and add the grapefruit juice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using). I shake it and then strain it into the glass filled with ice. I like to garnish the glass with grapefruit and lime wedges. That’s it!

I hope you enjoy this cocktail (responsibly) as much as I do! Cheers!
